How to Train Your Dragon: Agamas Live in My House
If you have always dreamed of becoming the Mother (or Father) of dragons, it is not at all necessary to write out dragon eggs from Westeros. An exotic scaly pet can also be purchased in our latitudes. Today, the heroes of the report are two charming compact dragons - Agamas Rubik and Ryzhulya - and their owner Roman. Even if reptiles have never seemed cute to you, you will definitely like this couple!
Friendship with dragons
Nine years ago, after returning from the army, Roman decided to fulfill his old dream and bought on the famous Kondratievsky (now Polyustrovskiy) market in St. Petersburg a little dragon, whom he named Rubik (@rubik_agama_spb). Roman liked lizards since childhood, so he could not resist the bearded agama. Seven years later, Rubik had a charming girlfriend, Redzhulya. Both dragons are cute and curious, and if you do not scare them and do not show aggression, despite the predatory appearance of the couple, you are not threatened with bites. Accustomed to the hands of the agamas are truly affectionate and contact, they love touching and playing.
Rubik and Ryzhulya get along well with each other, but, as in any couple, they sometimes have quarrels and disagreements. Agamas also do not show aggression towards other animals: Rubik gets along well with Roman's mother's cat. It might not have been a friendship, but it wasn't a conflict either. True, once on the beach of the Gulf of Finland, Rubik treacherously tried to kidnap a stray cat. We do not know if he was looking for a dinner or a companion for the evening, but Roman had to urgently rescue his pet from predatory paws.

View of the world from the terrarium
Domestic dragons are thermophilic. The temperature in the terrarium is always maintained at +25-35 degrees and the ultraviolet lamp is on, because in their historical homeland, in Australia, they are used to just such conditions. Moving around the house, Rubik and Redbone love to freeze in the rays of sunlight and bask. In summer, when the weather is warm, Roman takes his tailed friends for a walk outside. The warmer and sunnier it is outside the window, the more active the agamas are, and in the heat on a walk you have to follow them twice as carefully.
Agamas feed on zofobas and crickets, like bananas, raspberries, lettuce. All this is easily purchased in specialized stores. Life in the house suits the dragon family quite well. Once Ryzhulya even laid eggs, but, unfortunately, it was not possible to save them: this requires a special incubator.
Australian guests
The expressive muzzle, bright color and unusual pattern on the skin give them an attractive appearance, which, coupled with an affectionate disposition, makes them ideal pets. Agamas are absolutely safe. True, you should not bring your hand to them from above: they can regard this as an attack, since birds of prey hunt them in Australia.
Rubik and Ryzhulya, like most Agamas, are philosophers by nature: they love to contemplate the world around them and follow people with visible pleasure. By the way, male dragons greet their comrades with a movement of the head, and females wave their paws - just like people.
Calling dragons dragons, we are not joking: in English, these handsome men are called bearded dragon, that is, a bearded dragon. Like many reptiles, agamas seem not just overseas guests, but aliens from other worlds. There is some truth in this: after all, agamas - descendants of dinosaurs!
