Collies are native to the highlands of Scotland. Initially, these dogs were called "collis", "coels", later they began to be called "collies". In the future, intelligent dogs for herding livestock, sheep, goats and pigs, which are now called "Collies", originated from them. Studies have shown that the ancestors of this amazing breed appeared in the British Isles during the period of the Roman conquerors about two thousand years ago.
